Handcrafted copper was made in America from early in the eighteenth century until about 1850, with the center of its production in Pennsylvania. Newer copper pieces are also very collectible. An excellent reference with photos and market values is "Antique Brass and Copper" by Mary Frank Gaston.

Unique Turkish Copper Handmade Case
This case was polished with silver dust and tin, giving the appearance of silver plate. The silver is over copper which shows through the silver in places which makes the piece quite interesting. It is 5 in. round. There is a handle for carrying. There is a hinge and clasp. The piece was handmade and hand hammered. It is definitely a unique accent.

Copper Pitcher
This antique copper pitcher has a brass handle. The pitcher is 8 1/2 in. in height and is 4 1/2 in. in diameter at the base. It is 6 1/4 in. from handle to spout. The bottom is weighted so is substantial. It has a small dent in the side.
