This is an exquisite 4 foot by 6 foot hand done needlepoint rug. This design is hand painted on a mesh canvas and is not duplicated. The yarn is Australian wool using continental and half cross stitches with 110 stitches per square inch. It takes approximately 11 months to create a piece this size. It was made in South Carolina by professional needlepoint designers and teachers. This rug does have a cloth back and certainly can be used on the floor. I have one this size which I use as a wall hanging, and it is breathtaking. This beautiful rug is a true heirloom piece! This size piece retails for $1495. |
