With a wooden oval insert, this Towle silverplate tray is quite versatile. The silver tray is 12 1/2 X 17 in. and the wood insert is 8 3/4 X 13 in. The silverplate edges of the tray are beautifully designed and there is an etched design in the bottom of the platter. There are a couple of small pin point areas of wear in the plate and a larger spot on the edge from the bottom up to the trays edgeing. This is hidden when the wood insert is in place. I do not feel that it is a hindrance to the piece, but I would probably dab a little silver leaf on the spot. It is marked Towle on the bottom. |
