This letter holder, with a backing of wood, has brass panels which tilt slightly out to make room for mail. The designs are hammered brass relief. The overall height is 10 1/2 in. with a width of 9 in. Each panel is 8 in. wide the 5 1/4 in. in height. This piece is probably English although there are not markings. It is in very good condition, with minor tarnish which could be polished, but the patina is quite good the way it is.
