This bag is a heavily crocheted stitch with very dense navy thread. There are pearl accents all around as well as a monogram of the initial M in pearls on the front. The inside lining is a checked taffeta. There is a tag, Handmade by Edith Louise, on the inside. The top is closed with a zipper. The bag is from the 1950s and is in excellent condition. It measures 6 5/8 in. in width and is 6 1/2 in. tall. The pearls are attached with gold lame'thread.
