This Bavarian powder box is hand painted and signed with a printed mark. It has beautiful multi colored leaves that surround the base and a lovely white rose on the lid. It is trimmed in gold and artist signed. It dates circa 1900. There is some wear to the gilt which is common in a piece of this age. There is minor crazing and a hairline fracture only on the outside which is difficult to detect. It is 4 1/4 in. in diameter and 3 in. in height. It is truly a wonderful antique piece. Book value is approximately $150-200. |
