The term "print" may be defined today as almost any image printed on paper by any available method. "Original Print" refers to one achieved through the efforts of the artist or under his direct supervision. Staining is nearly always present in some degree and should be weighed against the rarity of the print. Moderate "foxing", or brown spots caused by fermentation of the rag content of old paper and light stains from the old frames are not serious unless present in excess.
